School Rules & AttendanceRules are tailored to focus attention of students on important facets of career preparation. Attractive appearance is stressed because of its importance to career success. Other rules draw attention to the need for cheerfulness, good manners, courtesy and consideration of customers, other students and supervisors. Firm rules are applied regarding attendance. This is done in recognition of the need for self discipline in work habits if success is to be achieved. It is imperative that students acquire faithful attendance habits in order to be prepared for work in a salon after graduation. All students must attend regularly scheduled classes. All absences and leaves of absences must be authorized by a school official. Habitual tardiness/absences will result in disciplinary actions which could lead to suspension or termination. These policies and others are detailed in a student handbook given to each student during orientation.
